The Denver Broncos are looking really good as the season is coming around the corner. George Paton has done an excellent job so far in adding depth into positions that needed it and fulfilling needs in the NFL Draft.

Now that we have seen the full 2021-22 schedule, we know which games are going to be the toughest ones for the Broncos, but some may glance by the most important ones of the season.

The first three games are the most important games in quite some time, as this team needs to get off to a hot start to begin the season. Vic Fangio needs to make the playoffs this year, especially with the talent on this roster and the first three games can dictate how that can go.

Teams that have gone 3-0 to start the NFL season have made the playoffs 75.5% of the time since 1980. The Broncos have a real good shot of winning their first three games as this can dictate how the rest of the season can go. It is so crucial that Denver at least comes out above .500 in the first three weeks as they will be favorites in all three games to win.

Being favored for the first three games of the season and then losing two out of the three will be a major hit in the season at such an early stage. This is why it’s so pivotal for Denver to get out and win the first three games that they are favored in and start 3-0, especially with the loaded AFC West that the Broncos play twice a year.

It’s very important to specific players on the roster as well to get an early winning record in the season to help grow confidence within themselves and each other. One of those players, being the quarterback.

Whether it is Teddy Bridgewater or Drew Lock, having a 3-0 or 2-1 record to start the season will help them so much in the long run. Gaining that confidence and comfort around the QB will be pivotal for the rest of the season. For Lock, this can help him out tremendously if he can perform well and win these games to gain that confidence going forward in his third year in the league. Having that momentum carry on week after week can really help the young talented players that are on this roster.

With the first three games being the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Jets, these are the most winnable games on the schedule that need to end up as a win at the end of the day. Having the pleasure to face two rookie quarterbacks in weeks two and three needs to be taken advantage of and end up as W’s.

With all due respect, the Denver Broncos should take care of these three teams to start the season and get a head start. The Fangio-led defense needs to take care of business against three offenses that weren’t great last year and the offense needs to make a statement with these three games and win to gain that momentum for the rest of the season.

The most important stretch of the season is the first three games and the Broncos should be going into week four 3-0. If not, 2-1 at worst if they want to be taken seriously around the league and make that considerable jump.
