Stephen King’s Firestarter has announced that Fear the Walking Dead star Sydney Lemmon has joined the cast of the reboot.
She is set to play the wife of The Greatest Showman star Zac Efron and both are parents to a daughter with a dangerous ability in the movie, Deadline reports.
Firestarter, based on the 1980 King novel of the same name, follows an eight-year-old girl, Charlie McGee (American Horror Story’s Ryan Kiera Armstrong), who develops pyrokinetic abilities with the power to set objects alight with just one glance.

Once the government gets wind of her abilities, she is taken, controlled and her abilities used as a weapon.
The novel was previously adapted into a film in 1984, where Charlie was played by a young Drew Barrymore – though there was a lot of support for her getting the role of Charlie’s mum in the reboot.
