I’m looking forward to it, first Kickstarter I’ve backed
2MrGawainFri 12th Feb 2021
Next best thing to Suikoden 6 possible. Hope it comes to the Switch, but if not I may have to clean the inch of dust off my PS4 to play it.
3MagicianFri 12th Feb 2021
One of my least favorite publishers.

From a business sense, putting focusing on a Switch version would be better.
Sure you’ll reach more people on other platforms, but who’ll buy it? Fans of the series, where it’ll be greater in Japan, and Switch is killing the competition in Japan.
Japanese game developers should focus on releasing for Switch more, rather than looking at how many people are in country A where JRPGs aren’t as popular.

I am a HUGE Suikoden fan. It’s my all-time favorite RPG series. I will be crushed if this doesn’t come to Switch. I backed the project (my 1st time ever) but if it doesn’t come to a Nintendo platform I may request a refund.
6BobbFri 12th Feb 2021
So long it makes to the Switch, I can wait
That, and because my backlog isn’t getting any smaller. Something tells me I should top it with the last good Suidoken I haven’t played, before this

Strange article on a nintendo website as it’s not coming to Nintendo consoles
8JDaviesFri 12th Feb 2021
Ten fingers crossed for a Switch release. Wouldn’t mind a classic collection either.
9ZyphFri 12th Feb 2021
@Meehanuk Because Nintendo was mentioned a few times in their Kickstarter page even if it’s just a possibility right now.
Anyway looking at the teaser I thought that I should have backed this when I had the chance. It looks sooo good! But bringing in 505 Games got me worrying.

@Supadav03 Miracles have happened, especially with games that seemed almost impossible to port to Switch. I sure hope it makes it onto the Switch, though. Suikoden I is one of the best RPGs I have ever played, until I finally play II that is.
11the_beaverFri 12th Feb 2021
”However, given that Nintendo feels that the Switch is only half-way through its lifespan, a successor might not even be available by 2022.”
I actually don’t think (and I hope) there won’t be a successor until the start of 2024. Perhaps the end of 2023.
12sdelfinFri 12th Feb 2021
@Magician you’re not alone there. Same here.
13TheFrenchiestFryFri 12th Feb 2021
Another article about a game not coming to Switch lmao
With that being said I’m hyped as hell for this as I played a ton of Suikoden I and II on my Vita way back when and it’s probably one of my favorite RPG series that isn’t from Square Enix or Atlus
14BloodNinjaFri 12th Feb 2021
So I played Suikoden II when it first released on PSOne, and I got around halfway before petering put on it. It just felt aimless. Great, I can get dozens of characters, but that’s a lot of padding. The story was neat but I honestly don’t even remember it anymore.
Anyone else have that experience, back in the day?
15BizasterFri 12th Feb 2021
There’s not gonna be a new Nintendo console anytime soon, let’s face it. Come on, bring this game to Switch!
16SilentHunter382Fri 12th Feb 2021
Very disappointed when I saw the KS post saying it was 505 after how they handled Bloodstained during the campain to release. The only thing is I backed it for either the physical PC version but may change it later to the PS5 version if possible.
Honestly they would be better off waiting to release the game on the next nintendo console. I know they have a planed release of Oct 2022 but every single video game I have back has always been delayed so I don’t expect to see this game released until 2023.
17gwardojonesFri 12th Feb 2021
The game looks great, but the idea that it’s too much for the Switch to handle seems ignorant. Maybe if it’s not optimized and you’re using needlessly resource-intensive visual effects, but visually it doesn’t look very different something like Octopath. We have Dragon Quest 11 on the Switch, but it can’t handle this? Yeah, I’m not sold. Game looks great, but let’s not be ridiculous here.
18ZyphFri 12th Feb 2021
@gwardojones Exactly what I thought. I think they just want something more capable to work with power-wise and just too lazy to work out the kinks if needed
19Ghost_of_HasashiSat 13th Feb 2021
Let’s just hope that it isn’t a Kickstarter scam like most other projects from well known devs.
20FredsBodyDoubleSat 13th Feb 2021
Let’s just hope it’s better than Suikoden 4.
21gwardojonesMon 15th Feb 2021
@Zyph that’s what I’m thinking too.
(Nice profile pic, btw)

You APPROVED your own disapproval.? Hahahaha…what?
That said, I loved watching my bro finish the first one decades ago; fond member berries, indeed! Would not mind a spiritual successor on a Nintendo system one bit! Or a collection of I and II…
